Crocodile Gin

You crawled up like a crocodile, and you playfully nibbled my ear
Caressed me with your scaly skin, and told me that there’s nothing to fear
You showed off that toothy grin, and you started reeling me in
My mamma taught me better than this, but I must if you do insist
Here we go

Then the lights did go out and I thought, “Oh what for a tryst”
I saw stars and planets merge, through the Pinwheel I did then drift
I was feeling lighter and lighter swaying along with the beat
When I finally started coming down, my heart sank beneath my feet

I came to, I was feeling strange, I couldn’t dance the was I once knew
I noticed something with my legs was amiss. There were no bones, no flesh and no shoes
You told me baby baby just relax, oh sit back, have another sip
I thought I could trust you, as I watched you licking your lips

Then the lights did go out and I thought, “Oh what for a tryst”
I saw stars and planets merge, through the Pinwheel I did then drift
I was feeling lighter and lighter tapping along with the beat
When I finally started coming down, all those wonders were just out of reach

The last stint left an awful itch, I had no hand with which I could scratch
Stuck in your freakish carnival I wouldn’t dream of turning back, oh no no

My mamma taught me better than this…

Then the lights did go out and I thought, “Oh what for a tryst”
I saw stars and planets merge, through the Pinwheel I did then drift
I was feeling lighter and lighter singing that strange melody
When I finally came down, darkness was all I could see
